Moolmans is accredited as a Skills Development Provider with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA).

  • Supervisory training for Mining Foremen/ Supervisors and Superintendents

  • Mechanical Aid/ Artisan Assistant for Mining Program (Includes Basic Hand Tools, Principles of preventative Maintenance, Basic Cooling, Basic Hydraulics, Lubrication and Contamination principles)
  • Conducting a Basic Technical Assessment on prospective recruited employees to determine their technical ability and understanding
  • Chairing Disciplinary Hearings

Accredited Engineering Training and Qualifications (QCTO)

The effectiveness of Plant and Engineering functions is crucial for business performance and sustainability. Therefore, investing in education and skills development is a strategic priority for Moolmans Training and Development. Our accredited Engineering Training Centre focuses on delivering essential skills and is recognised as one of the top training centers in South Africa.

We offer accredited apprenticeships (QCTO accreditation number 03‑QCTO/SDP091022130342) and operate an accredited Trade Test Centre (TTC) (QCTO accreditation number 03-QCTO/AC-TTC240323164225).

Apprentice Programs and Trade Tests

The Moolmans Technical Training Centre offers accredited Apprenticeship Programs and Trade Tests applicable to the Mining and Construction Industries, where learners are assessed over up to four years. Recognised as one of Africa's top programs, it prepares Apprentices with essential theoretical knowledge and practical experience, enabling them to earn a Trade Qualification and become valuable assets in the Open Pit Mining sector.

Our Training Centre also provides for ARPL assessments to enable experienced Semi-Skilled Artisans to obtain their trade Certificates.

We offer Apprenticeship Training and Trade tests for the following Trades at out Training Academy in Kathu. ARPL options are available:

Our enhanced program is designed to make provision for additional technical knowledge required by Artisans in the Mining Sector based on OEM and other specific guidelines to enhance efficiencies.

Note: Clients have options to engage learners per phase of training depending on required practical exposure. Training programs are designed to suit specific needs of our clients.
